About Me
I have always identified most with themes of loss, love, and found family. These have been predominant aspects of all four novels I have written, and I’m sure I’ll carry these themes for the extent of my storytelling journey.
During lockdown in 2020 I developed a strange hobby (didn’t we all?) of collecting vintage typewriters. I now have seven typewriters and am running out of places to put them. The usage of typewriters has resulted in a unique writing process, involving longhand, typewritten, and digital manuscripts, all written simultaneously, and allowing significant time for editorial considerations during the early drafting stage.
I am now adding editing into my creative portfolio. I have helped friends by proofreading their dissertations and editing their novels. I’m currently working on a volunteer basis, so any work I undertake will be completely free of charge. Any editorial experience is good experience!
If you’re looking for a third party to take an involved look at your manuscript, be sure to get in touch. You can browse this website to decide what type of editing works for you, and drop me a message on the Contact page.
Can’t wait to hear from you!
I have been a writer of fiction for as long as I can remember. Stories played such an important role in my early development, leading me to scribble down tiny tales when my parents thought I had gone to sleep, and lying awake at night dreaming up characters and absurd scenarios.
I currently have one novel in the editing stage, for which I employed a freelance editor. The discussions I’ve had with my editor have been invaluable for my understanding of my own characters, the balance of description and story momentum, and the importance of consistency of voice and tone.
